Creative Outdoors LLC has been designing and building outdoor spaces for homeowners in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and nearby Northern Arizona communities since 2003. Over those years our work has earned awards from a hardscape manufacturer, from local readers, and in industry competitions, and our crew has picked up professional certifications along the way.
It is easy for a contractor to say the work is good, so we keep the proof in one place. Below are the awards we have won, the certifications our crew holds, and our BBB accreditation, each linked to a page with the full details and photos.

Awards recognize a result: a finished project judged on its merits, or a vote by the community.
Belgard, a leading manufacturer of pavers and retaining walls, gave us its Hardscape Hero Award in April 2024 and named us Hardscape Hero of the Year later that year. Both honored our design, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

Readers of The Daily Courier voted Creative Outdoors #1 for Best Landscaping in 2024, and placed us second in 2025. It is a public vote, so it comes straight from people in our own community.

Long before the Belgard and Readers' Choice wins, the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) gave us twelve Hardscape Awards between 2009 and 2016, seven of them first place, for retaining walls, driveways, a patio, and a swimming pool.

Creative Outdoors is a BBB-accredited business. That means we have agreed to meet the BBB's standards, which include honest advertising and being responsive to customers.
Learn about BBB accreditationA plaque on the wall does not tell you much by itself. Here is what these awards and credentials say about the work you can expect.
Hardscape awards go to finished projects, so they say something about how our patios, driveways, and retaining walls actually turn out.
How well pavers and walls hold up depends on base preparation, drainage, and compaction. Our certifications show our installers have been trained and verified on those methods.
Readers' votes and BBB accreditation put our reputation in front of the community, and we intend to keep it a good one.
These credentials apply most directly to our paver, paver driveway, paver patio, and retaining wall work, and the same standards guide our landscaping and hardscape projects. To hear from the people we have worked for, read our client reviews, or learn more about our company.
An award recognizes a project or a business at a point in time, such as a Belgard Hardscape Hero Award or a Readers' Choice vote. A certification confirms that a person has met a training and experience standard. Accreditation, like the BBB's, confirms that a business agrees to follow a code of conduct.
Yes. Belgard lists its authorized contractors on its website, and the BBB maintains a public profile for accredited businesses. Our certifications page shows our Belgard and CMHA certificates in full, and our BBB page links to our profile.
The Belgard Hardscape Hero page includes a photo gallery of award-winning patios, steps, fire pits, and water features, and the Readers' Choice and More Awards pages show the team and the earlier projects that were honored.
